Outside Fun: We made "boats" and then let them sail down our tinfoil river. So, if you saw a milk bottle top, it is really a boat. We took the time to make sails for them, but after a few were capsized, they lost their sails :) We also had fun with bubbles.
Science:
- We put some pinto beans in a glass jar with a little water. We passed around a pinto bean for everyone to feel. After the beans soaked for a day or two, we compared them to a dry bean.
- We also enjoyed Babysitting Asher's Gecko!
- "My mom doesn't let me use glue."
- When drawing "B", I suggest that we draw a straight line, a big head, and then a big belly. One kiddo then said, "My daddy has a big belly!" The funny thing is...I know the dad, and he doesn't :)
