Theme: Snow
We met Queen Questa who introduced us to letter "Q/q". Q is quiet & shy so she like to have her pal "U" following her everywhere she goes. To help us remember how to draw Q, we can think, "A quail with a tail."
Choosing Time: Dig for the Queen's Treasure, Q Memory, Quirky Animals,....
Games: Quarter, Quarter, Who has the Quarter?
Math: Quarter Toss
I had 2 pans. One was labeled, "Q", and the other "q". Each child took a turn to toss 2-4 quarters into either pan. After everyone had a turn we counted how many quarters ended up in each pan and then how many didn't make it into any pan. We wrote the numbers down and then compared them.
