Science:  How Big Were Dinosaurs?  I drew a simple outline of a Dinosaur footprint.  Each child had an opportunity to step inside the footprint with a painted foot.  We had more than 30 of our footprints inside the Dinosaur footprint.  We also learned some different dinosaur names and some facts about them.  We had fun guessing if the dinosaur was a meat or plant eater.  We are both meat and plant eaters.

Lesson:  Daisy Dog introduced us to "D".  We "drummed" our "D's". We signed "D".  We played a game with Dinosaur feet and dice.  If we landed on a foot with "D" then we could choose a "D" related item out of the bucket to show the class.  Some of our items included:  drum, door, doughnut, daisy, dog, doll, duck, dump truck, dots, dragon, dirt, dinosaur,.....

Writing:  We practiced "D/d" on our dry erase boards.

Reading:  Our new words are do & down.  Ask your kiddos to point out a specific letter while you read to them or while you're driving in the car.

Krispy Kreme Field Trip:  The AM class had a great time Driving to the Doughnut store.  We loved watching the doughnuts being made and we were so careful to notice any doughnuts that didn't get turned over :)
