We met Ellie the Elephant who showed us E/e. We practiced the 2 sounds "E" makes. We also met Emma the Elephant who only eats "E"-Nuts. The children each pulled a "nut" out of a cup and could feed it to Emma if it was an E-Nut.
Choosing Time: Elephants, Little People Village, Elmer the Elephant Game (This was a great way to practice counting, number recognition, and colors.)

- We also learned about elephants: they are the largest living land mammal, they are social, all females take care of the baby elephants, their feet are massive without toe separations so they can support their weight, they can swim,.......)
