Theme: Letter "E"

Choosing Time: Books, Puppets, Picnic Play, Foam Block Puzzles, Zoobies, Elmer the Elephant Color Game
Music & Movement: Scat the Cat, Elephant Song, Animal Action, Counting Exercises & Pumpkin, Pumpkin

AM Craft: Color "Elmer" Elephants
PM Craft: Elephant Finger Puppets

AM Snack: Thank you Noah for the Goldfish Crackers & Cheese Sticks
PM Snack: Thank you Byron for the Pretzels & Orange Slices

Lesson: We took turns opening eggs. If the object started with an "E" it went into one pile. If the object hatched from an egg it went in another pile. We had a lot of fun helping one another to decide which pile to put things into.

Book: Elmer and the Rainbow by David McKee

Art: We began making some clay ghosts. When they are dry we will finish them so they can take them home for Halloween decor.
Writing: We practiced making letter "E" in our work books.

Science:
We observed our caterpillar in his cocoon. We each made a guess on the number of days he will be in his cocoon before he turns into a butterfly.

Cute Quotes: "Van, what does elephant start with?" "L."
"...and please bless teacher to be nice to me." --Byron
After, he ran up behind me and gave me a huge hug :)
